Meet the Palaweña sensation in Tiktok

Tiktok is now a storm on social media world. From celebrities to officials to ordinary netizens, it became the latest pasttime of Filipinos.

A 19-year-old Palaweña named Raven Rosenia Marabong from Villa Grande in Puerto Princesa City is now one of the most popular coming from the world’s best island as she has reached about 5.4 million likes and 810K followers on “Tik Tok” application in just one year because of her funny video.

Her funny “Tik Tok” video was now being featured in some popular pages on Facebook.

“Tik Tok” was formerly known as musical.ly is a media platform where a user can share, discover and create short music video. “Tik Tok” now has 100 million users nationwide.

This application is used by people to share their talents in singing, dancing, comedy, acting and lip syncing. It allows recording a video for about 15 to 60 seconds.

“Nag start ako nag try 2018 pa, pero di ako ganun ka active so uninstall ko.

“This 2019 ko sya ginamit talaga until now, nag-tiktok ako para mag-enjoy ako. Gusto ko rin syempre magpasaya kasi nakikita ko naman na may mga taong natutuwa so tinuloy-tuloy ko,” Marabong said.

Marabong is a 1st year college student from Western Philippines University-PPC campus, taking up BS Entrepreneurship.
