Modules ng mga estudyante, hindi basehan ng grado – DepEd

Pinaaalalahanan ni Department of Education (DepEd) Curriculum Implementation Division Chief Dr. Cyril Serador na hayaan ng mga magulang ang kanilang mga anak na sumagot sa mga modules dahil basehan lamang ito ng hangganan ng kanilang kaalaman ukol sa subject at hindi ng kanilang grado.

“Itong module na ito hindi ito basehan ng kanilang grado kahit chine-check ni teacher iyon. Tinitignan lang iyon ni teacher kung how far have the learners gone in terms of learning the module.”

Aniya ang mga modules ay repleksyon ng kakayahan ng mga estudyante at para rin magkaroon ng plano ang kanilang guro kung paano sila matutulungan.

“Itong mga magulang natin alalayan lang natin ang ating mga anak [at] ‘wag po tayong magsagot doon sa kanilang mga modules. Hayaan natin na kung hanggang saan lang sila dahil iyan ang totoo nilang kakayahan at doon natin makikita kung ano po yung maitutulong natin sa mga bata.”

Ipinaliwanag din ni Dr. Serador ang magiging basehan ng grado ng mga estudyante.

“Hindi yan basehan ng kanilang grado. Yun ay formative. Ang formative ibig sabihin pamamaraan para ma-facilitate natin ang learning ng bata pero ang basehan ng kanilang grado na ia-assess natin. Itong summative na kung saan yun yung magkakaroon sila ng validating assessment itong written atsaka itong performance.”

Dagdag pa nito na ang performance na binabanggit ay hindi nangangahulugan na kailangang pumunta sa eskwelahan o i-measure ng literal ang performance ng mga bata.

“’Pag sinabing performance kasi it doesn’t necessarily mean na nag-re-require talaga ang bata na mag-perform. There are other ways na pwedeng ma-measure yung ating performance through sa rubrics eh pre-prepare lang ni teacher…Hindi ibig sabihin na kailangan pumunta or kailangan ime-measure talaga yun kasi it is provided actually doon sa DO. 31 at guided po yung mga teachers natin .”
