The Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPIA) is currently polishing its preparations for the “new normal” system.
Engr. Efren Nieves Nagrama, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Area Manager for Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPIA) told Palawan Daily News (PDN) Saturday the facility was being made ready in case the local government finally nods the resumption of flights.
Ma. Lourdes Espartero, PPIA Acting Public Information Officer (PIO), said they are almost done with the new set-up as of Saturday, May 23.
Espartero said the signage and other safety protocols were already practiced in the facility since the last sweeper flights.
‘Yong new normal [is] kung ano iyong ipini-prepare din nating lahat ‘diba,” said Espartero.
Espartero further stated they are going to conduct simulation exercises to ensure an efficient and effective implementation of this ‘new normal’.
Espartero added PPIA works hand in hand with the Provincial Health Office (PHO), City Health Office (CHO), and all stakeholders toward careful preparation of the airport.
