With Narra’s location, according to the order, those who are going out and entering the town imposes a threat to the safety of others.

In addition to this, in a live press briefing yesterday, conducted by the City Information Office (CIO) together with the City Health Office (CHO) and medical representatives from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) the city and provincial IATF confirmed that there is indeed a community transmission happening within the city’s jurisdiction today particularly in Barangay Sta. Monica.

Therefore, Danao imposed that municipal checkpoint in Km 81 within the border of Plaridel, Aborlan and Barangay Dumanguena shall be restored effective immediately. This too, shall be immediate in all barangay checkpoints in the town by the supervision of the local municipal police chief with the help of law enforcers, Bantay Narra, Barangay Tanods and other frontliners.

Meanwhile, only Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) are allowed to travel outside the municipality, given that they seek to have an authorization from the local Municipal Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) a day before their scheduled travel.

The measure also stressed that only essential travels shall be approved.

A mandatory 14-day home quarantine will be automatically imposed to those who traveled to Puerto Princesa City upon their return. Family members shall be subjective to the same quarantine.

The 14-day home quarantine will be monitored by Barangay Chiefs with the help of their barangay health workers and Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT).

The quarantine and monitoring policy, however, will not sectorized those who traveled in the city but immediately returned in the town during the same day of departure.

For frontliners, Danao imposed that those who have direct contact to ROF, LSI’s and APOR from Puerto Princesa City and outside Palawan will stay at their quarters and respective biletting areas for precautionary measures.

Transport operators shall have their own designated quarters to be used by their drivers and other personnel who have direct exposure to passengers. Failure to comply within this policy, shall be a ground into firing a criminal charge by the LGU, according to the order.

Those who have businesses and meetings or other appointments that needs to be settled in Narra shall present any proof of transaction or purpose and will not be allowed to roam around and must only stay in the place or venue of his/her transaction.

Health protocols of wearing face masks, social distancing and the use of hand sanitizers from time to time shall be observe in all public places within Narra’s jurisdiction.

The municipality of Narra is expected to receive over 400 ROF and LSI’s according to the local MDRRMO.

In the regular session of the local Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Narra on Monday, June 22, Leonard Marinas, MDRRMO OIC said that the LGU as of present, hosts a more than 100 ROF and LSI’s quarantined in their assigned facilities.

The LGU, with the help of MDRRMO, RHU and other concerned agencies are now catering new ROF and LSI’s in schools within the town. Some local pension and lodging houses shall also be used if schools are already maximized by returning kababayans.

The Sangguniang Bayan of Narra already approved a budget of 5.6M to cater the needs of the returning Narranians for their 14 days quarantine.
