Bagong strain ng COVID-19, hindi hahayaang makapasok sa Lalawigan ng Palawan

Ayon sa kalatas na inilabas ng Provincial Information Office (PIO) ngayong hapon, papaigtingin ang pagbabantay sa mga border ng Southern Palawan upang maiwasan ang pagpasok at pagkalat ng bagong strain ng COVID-19 sa Lalawigan ng Palawan.

Sa pahayag ni Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management (PDRRMO) Head at Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Operation Manager Jerry Alili ay inatasan siya ni Palawan Governor Jose Chavez Alvarez na gawin ang lahat at gamitin ang resources upang maisakatuparan ito.

“May instruction na rin sa atin ang ating mahal na Gobernador na ibuhos lahat ng resources na available natin para i-contain ‘yong borders sa Southern part ng Palawan dahil ayaw natin na itong bagong strain ng COVID-19 ay pumasok sa atin” pahayag ni Alili

Partikular na kanilang babantayan ay yung boundaries sa bahaging Sur ng Palawan at mga indibidwal mula sa kapitbahay na mga bansa na nais pumasok sa lalawigan.

“Yan po ang inaayos namin ngayon, meron akong naka-set na series of meeting para i-lock down ang Southern Palawan from other neighboring islands, maging ‘yan ay nanggaling sa bandang Sulu Sea o nanggaling sa Malaysian Island, pag-uusapan po namin yan” dagdag pa nito.

Siniguro naman ni Alili na ang kalakalan ng mga produkto at pangingisda ay patuloy pa rin na pinahihintulutan subalit humihiling ito nang pakikipagtulungan sa mga opisyal ng mga barangay na bantayan ang kanilang mga nasasakupan.

Samantala, nagpahayag din ang Pangulo na paigtingin ang monitoring sa mga borders ng bansa para maiwasan ang pagpasok ng mga taong mula sa nasabing mga lugar kaugnay sa nagpositibo sa bagong strain ng COVID-19 sa Sabah, Malaysia.
