Commencing yesterday, November 22, the 11th National Tripartite Conference for Cooperative Development brought together over a thousand delegates from diverse regions across the Philippines.

Themed “CDA-CDO Strategic Partnership: The Key to Sustaining a Resilient Philippine Cooperative Movement,” this collaborative initiative is organized by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), the League of Cooperative Development Officers in the Philippines (LCDOP), and the Provincial Government of Palawan through the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO).

The primary objective of this assembly is to foster helpful connections among stakeholders, formulating actionable plans for the advancement of cooperatives nationwide.

“The strength of our movement lies in our ability to collaborate, leverage strategic partnerships, and embrace innovation. Through this conference, we aim to harness these principles to elevate the position of our cooperatives towards success,” said Board Member Ferdinand Zaballa, who represented Palawan Governor V. Dennis Socrates during the opening of the event.

This national conference also drew attendance from Local Chief Executives, Sanggunian members, Local Cooperative Development Officers, LGU officials, and representatives from diverse cooperatives.

Solidarity messages were also conveyed by CDA Assistant Secretary Vergel Hilario; Board Member Nieves Rosento, Chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Palawan Committee on Cooperative; Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo Bayron, represented by City Councilor Henry Gadiano; Socorro S. Tan, Chairperson Emeritus of Palawan Cooperative Union; G. Sonny Seracarpio representing 1st District Representative Edgardo Salvame; Advocate of Local Autonomy & Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas, and Congressman Felimon Espares of COOP NATTCO Partylist.
