Senyales umano na nagugustuhan ng international tourists ang Puerto Princesa ang pagdating ng MV Le Laperouse, na ika-12 nang cruise ship na dumaong dito sa isla.

Ayon kay Demetrio Alvior Jr, Assistant City Tourism Officer, nangangahulugan lamang umano ito na cruise ship tourist destination of the Philippines ang syudad kaya nagpapagawa ang City Goverment ng bagong terminal para sa mga cruise ship.

Sinabi pa ni Alvior na hindi nila inaasahan na magtatagal ng 24 oras ang cruise ship pero maganda raw ito para makita ng mga bisita ang lungsod sa gabi.

“Nalaman natin mula sa mga taga-Puerto Princesa Port Aunthority na alas-3 na ng madaling araw kanina umuwi ang ilan sa mga ito at masayang-masaya sila” sabi pa ni Alvior.

Kinumpirma niya rin na humigit kumulang 180 ang capacity ng cruise ship pero kapag maliit daw ang barko ay ibig sabihin nito na exclusive ito at mas may kakayahang gumastos ang mga sakay.

Samantala, ang mga turista na pumunta sa Puerto Princesa Underground River ay nasa 103 habang 42 na turista naman ang nag-City Tour.

Karamihan sa mga turista ay pawang mga French at bago dumating kagabi ay nagmula muna sa bansang Brunei.

Mamayang alas-6 ng gabi ay aalis na ito ng syudad patungo sa bayan ng El Nido, Hong Kong at sa bansang Japan.
