Palaweños, makakaasa na umano ng maayos na serbisyo ayon sa PALECO

Asahan umano ng mga kamay-ari ayon sa pamunuan ng Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO) dahil nitong araw lang Mayo 16, 2022 ay nagkaroon nang kasunduan ang kooperatiba sa National Transmission Corporation (TransCo) kung saan nais nitong palawigin at pagandahin pa ang serbisyong maibibigay sa buong lalawigan ng Palawan.

Ayon sa President at Chief Executive Officer ng TransCo na si Atty. Jainal Abidin Y. Bahjin II, malaking pagsubok ito hindi lang sa kanila maging sa pamunuan ng PALECO. Hindi umano magiging madali ngunit asahan na mayroon magandang pagbabago na mararanasan ang mga kamay-ari.

“I was really confident that thru the joint efforts of the National Transmission Corporation and PALECO the final outcome of this exercise will benefit TransCo., PALECO and stakeholders but more importantly and most importantly the consumers…However this is just the beginning of work. There’s a lot to be done so with that I wish you good luck and congratulations to everyone,” Bahjin said before those present.

Ayon naman kay PALECO Board of Directors Chairperson Jeffrey Tan-Endriga ay may pag-aaral ng ginawa ang PALECO at TransCo patungkol sa madalas na problema ng kuryente sa lalawigan at sa katunayan umano ay taong 2020 pa dapat nangyari ang MOA signing sa pagitan nila ng TransCo subalit dahil sa hindi umano inaasahang pandemya dulot ng COVID-19 ay hindi ito naisakatuparan.

“Malamang 2020 nakapag-MOA signing na tayo kasi before the pandemic started ay nagkaroon na po ng signing ng Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sa Manila together with AGM Nelson Lalas and yours truly kasama yung mga Board [BOD] sa Manila upang mag-conduct ng study dito sa ating probinsya at ngayon ay natapos na nila yung pag-aaral na ito at nag come up sila sa isang design o proposal that’s why we need to sign the Memorandum of Agreement para at least maging kontrata o agreement itong gagawin nila [TransCo.],” saad ni Endriga.

Ipinaliwanag naman ni Special Assistant to the President of TransCo na si Prof. Rowaldo D. Del Mundo ang dahilan ng mga nararanasang power outage sa Palawan.

“Kaya po kayo nagkakaroon ng mga problema despite of pinagtatalunan on one hand sasabihin ‘nandirito naman yung supply eh meron naman tayong mga power plant’ but you will see that experience kasi nga po ay parang pingpong ball po yung system natin dito sa Palawan na kung saan ay kaunting disturbance even doon sa linya ng PALECO iyon pong lahat ng power plant nagre-react,” pahayag ni Del Mundo.

Dagdag pa ni Prof. Del Mundo, dahil sa masusing pag-aaral na ginawa nila ay naisipan nila na magkaroon ng mga control center na itatayo dito sa lalawigan kung saan konektado ang lahat ng mga planta sa kada munisipyo maging sa Quezon City kung saan nakakonekta din ang Palawan sakaling masira ito.

“Yung strategic role na gagawin ni TransCo…magtatayo tayo dito ng control center na automated…infact ang plano po ay hindi lang yong control center na iyan na kumabaga ano…hahawak sa lahat ng power plant…ito pong control center na ating itatayo hindi lang dito sa Palawan mayroon din po tayo sa national control center na ilalagay sa Quezon City para po kung masira po o hindi gumana yung ating control center dito sa Palawan si TransCo engineers po doon sa Quezon City ay makaka takeover po automatically para po mahawakan ang mga planta,” saad ni Del Mundo.

Samantala, isinasapinal pa ang kabuoang gagastusin ng PALECO at TransCo at magpapatawag muli ang mga ito ng press conference sa mga darating na panahon.

“We’re still on a process of the final computation of the exact amount but the problem is already identified,” ani  Bahjin.
