This after PNP spokesman Brigadier General Bernard Banac announced that PNP officer-in-charge Lt General Archie Francisco Gamboa ordered the full alert status of Police units in Luzon and Visayas from December 15, 2019 until January 5, 2020 for the whole yuletide season.

He said that they will put assistance desks in churches and terminals to insure the safety of the people.
He advised also the public to be careful and be vigilant when travelling.

With regards to the safety of his personnel on this forthcoming CPP anniversary, the officials said that in placing their units under full alert status includes their physical and facilities security.
