Quarantine Facilities sa Puerto Princesa, malapit nang mapuno

Inanunsyo kahapon ni Dr Dean Palanca, Assistant City Health Officer at Puerto Princesa Incident Management Team (IMT) Commander, sa isinagawang live update ng City Information Department na malapit nang mapuno ang mga quarantine facilities sa lungsod matapos magkaroon ng mahigit 120 na COVID-19 suspects.

“Napupuno na po tayo sa dami po ng ating mga close contact. Meron tayong ginagamit right now na almost 3 quarantine facilities and 2 COVID isolation facilities. Yung ating quarantine facilities meron tayong 312 bed capacity pero right now nasa 250 na po ang mga nandoon sa loob. Konti nalang puno na talaga ang ating quarantine facility.”

Aniya ang mga ito ay mga indibidwal na na-contact trace ng kanilang tanggapan at mga nagpositibo sa Rapid Antigen Test.

“Hindi po yan mga travelers mula sa Manila kundi yan ang mga COVID suspects o mga Antigen positives at kasama na po sa ibang mga rooms ang kanilang mga kapamilya na dapat nain i-test ng hindi lang isa kundi dalawang beses nating i-test sa Antigen. Then kung negative yun sa dalawang Antigen testing nila [ay] puwede na po nating pauwiin pero meron pa pong 7 araw pa pong home quarantine.”

Ang mga ospital naman sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa ay mayroon din mga isolation facilities at magdadagdag ang mga ito kung kinakailangan.

“Ang mga hospitals [ay] meron naman silang sariling mga isolation. Meron naman sa Adventist Hospital, ang pagkakaalam ko, atleast nasa 2-3. Yung ating Cooperative Hospital [ay] hindi rin bababa sa 3. At yung ating Ospital ng Palawan, mayroon yang isolation na ginagamit din po is 8 yung isolation facility para sa mga COVID suspect o COVID confirmed po na nasa moderate po to severe po yung kanilang mga karamdaman. Kasama na rin po yung ating WESCOM hospital na nag-allocate po, I think, 10-15 ang kaniyang isolation rooms doon. Pero maaari naman yung mga ospital na ‘to na magdagdag kung sakaling dumami pa at kinakailangang magdagdag ng mga isolation rooms po itong mga ospitals na ‘to.”

Ang kasalukuyang naka quarantine ay mga Rapid Antigen Positive lamang at hindi maisailalim ang mga ito sa confirmatory test o RT-PCR test dahil may kakulangan na ang Ospital ng Palawan sa RT-PCR cartridges.

“Ginagawa po natin [ay] Antigen Testing kasi wala po tayong RT-PCR test. Hindi po tayo makapag-request po niyan kasi right now po may kakulangan tayo sa GenXpert cartridges. Sa buong Pilipinas po yun affected po sila at kulang na kulang po yung cartridges na yan. Kaya we resort sa continue po na pagte-test po ng Antigen doon sa close contact at saka sa mga suspected namin na may symptoms.”

“Kung makikita mo ang total po ngayon na Antigen positive o yung isang tawag namin na COVID suspects po ay nasa 120 and counting pa po yung. 120 is yung kahapon lang at may positives na naman po kami sa Antigen as of today [Abril 7, 2021].”

Sa kasalukuyan ay mayroong 247 na kabuuang bilang ng mga nagpositibo sa COVID-19 sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa, 11 rito ay aktibong kaso, 231 recoveries at 5 binawian ng buhay.
