According to the author of the resolution, Board Member Ryan Maminta, the purpose of this is to support BFP-Palawan for the implementation of the agency’s Modernization Program which includes the construction of modern fire fighting facilities in the province with modern tools and life-saving equipment.

Maminta said, this is to establish a Provincial Headquarters of the BFP in conjunction with the BFP Modernization Program where the role of the BFP is very broad for ensuring the safety of respondents not only to fires but also to the issue of terrorism, disasters, chemical spills, and other radioactive incidents that may occur.
