The victim said that the incident took place after he grabbed the hand of one of the suspects to stop him from touching his body.

“And I just asked him, why you did that and he said, because you touched me, then the punching begins. They punched me here (left ears), they punched me here (pointing his right side of head) and I think, I have scratches here on my face,” Batien said in an interview.

After the incident, Bastien leave the place and as he checked his bag on way home, he found out that his phone, wallet and ATM cards were missing.

“I leave and I checked my bag only to find out that I lost my wallet and my cellphone. I don’t have a lot of time before I go back to my country. And right now, I have to ask my friend to buy me ticket coz I have no more money, no more cards,” he added.

Meanwhile, the victim was accompanied by the resort staff where he stays to the police station to report the incident and was advised to seek first the medico-legal from Ospital ng Palawan.

“I already went to the police station and I had my check up this morning.”

He also confirmed that few days before he was mauled, his rented motorcycle was stolen near his place.

Despite of what happened to him, he has no regrets at all and will continue to go back here in the Palawan some other time.

“I’m not in my country so if you touch me, it’s okay. I’m not supposed to get into trouble. When you punched me, I say, okay. Actually you have people like this everywhere. I don’t know when I can come back, but I will for sure,” he ended.
