The Department of Education (DepEd) on Wednesday, March 23, announced that early registration in public schools for School Year 2022-2023 will start on March 25.
The announcement comes after a published memorandum from DepEd dated March 21.
DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones said in her announcement that early registration for primary and secondary classes will allow the Department to make necessary preparations and adjustment of plans for the incoming school year.
Incoming students from Kindergarten, Grades 1, 7, and 11 in public elementary and secondary schools shall pre-register, while incoming Grades 2 – 6, Grades 8 – 10, and Grade 12 students are already considered pre-registered and no longer required to participate in the early registration.
On the other hand, in-person enrollment will only be allowed for parents or guardians in areas under COVID-19 Alert Levels 1 and 2, while registration shall be done remotely in areas under Alert Levels 3 to 5.
The exact date of enrollment or registration period will start on March 25 and will run until April 30.
