“Asin” all set for December 19 Puerto Princesa concert

Legendary Filipino Rock band “Asin” with Lolita Carbon is set to perform here in Puerto Princesa City in a one night concert this coming December 19 at Sky Light Convention Center.

It will be produced by White Flare Production, and the show is for the benefit of cancer patients in the province.

Asin became popular in the late 70’s with their strings of folk rock songs that usually speak about nationalism and love for the environment.

Mike Pillora Jr. of Negros Occidental and Cesar Bañares Jr of South Cotabato were the original members along with Lolita Carbon. They were the first Filipino band that incorporated indigenous instruments into pop rock music.

Among their hits were Masdan Mo Ang Kapaligiran, Itanong Mo Sa Mga Bata, Ang Bayan Kong Sinilangan, Usok, Lupa, Gising Kaibigan, Himig Pag Ibig and many more.

Lolita Carbon with Asin Band Concert ticket is prized at P500 for VIP, and P300 for regular patron, all is seated with access to some bar hosts for drinks.

Seats are numbered during the performance night. Gates will be opened at 6 in the evening and an hour after the show will start.

For reservations and tickets bulk buying, contact Tinii Cayetano at mobile nos. 0998.156.6262 to secure a slot since the organizers will only release 1,000 tickets for this concert.

Local bands featured as front acts are: Perk Music group composed of 66 Farenheit, Kapatid, Kirit-Kirit Band, Summer Cake, and Bad Temper.

The Asin concert is co-presented by Yakult, Nickel Asia Corporation, Bona’s Chaolong, Eye Level, Skylight Hotel and Convention Center, Yurich, Recaro Transport, Heavenly Desserts and Famous Belgian Waffle. Tickets is available at White Flare Production at Unit 213 SJD Center, San Pedro National Highway.
