The 2023 World Radio Day, which marks the 12th anniversary of the global celebration, has been celebrated in Palawan for its fourth year in a row through Provincial Ordinance No. 2022-2019, which aims to recognize the annual celebration of the World Radio Day in accordance with the creation of radio in 1946.

The day is celebrated each year with the objective of celebrating the importance of radio as a way of educating people, providing information, and promoting the essence of freedom of expression across the world.
