City Jail Officer (JO2) Marlito Anza, spokesperson of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) – PPCJ, told Palawan Daily News (PDN) Thursday this display center is seen to improve the income of PDL-workers who are financially supporting their families outside the facility.

“When it comes to livelihood, ang pamunuan ng BJMP ay patuloy na gumagawa ng kaparaanan para matulungan natin ‘yong ating mga PDLs na sila ay kumita kahit na sila ay nasa loob, at the same time ay makatulong din sila doon sa kanilang mga kapamilya sa labas na alam din natin ay nangangailangan,” said Anza.

Anza said around 70 out of more or less 500 PDLs in the facility are presently involved in the livelihood programs of PPCJ.

He said available on display are food products and handicrafts, which are all made and produced inside the facility.

Headed by PPCJ warden, Jail Senior Inspector (JSINSP) Irene Gaspar, the display center was inaugurated earlier this week.
