Manila Mayor Isko Moreno congratulated his opponent via Facebook Live a day after the National and Local 2022 Elections.
Moreno took the opportunity to thank his family and countrymen who showed support and voted for him yesterday.
He also congratulated the public as they exercised their right to choose new leaders for the country from the highest attainable government position down to local posts.
“Let me take this opportunity, maraming maraming salamat sa ating mga kababayan sa buong mundo at sa buong bansa…nagtagumpay ang ating mga kababayan na makapamili ng bagong lider sa kani-kanilang mga munisipyo, lalawigan, at senador, congressman, vice president at president,” said Moreno.
He also proceeded to congratulate his opponent during the election, who is the late dictator’s son and former senator, Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr, and his running mate, daughter of the current president and former Davao City Mayor, Sara “Inday” Duterte for being in the frontrunner for their chosen positions.
And, I hope it can be official soon at matapos na at mapapanatag na ang lahat.
Isko reminded the public that the next administration will not be successful if the people are not cooperative with the new government. And should also respect, unify, and help the soon-to-be appointed officials.
He then reminded the public of their responsibilities as constituents and give chance to the new upcoming leaders of the country as everyone will all affected by actions and changes in the communities.
We have to give chance to new leadership,” added Moreno.
At the end of the day…iisang bansa tayo. Life must go on. We must support. Kaya sa ating mga kasama g sumuporta, irespeto natin ang boto ng ating mga kababayan…,” he said further.
