152 na mga lisensyadong medical professional, nakapagtapos sa ilalim ng programa ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan

Tinalakay kahapon, Oktubre 3, sa 2nd State of the Province Address ni Governor V. Dennis M. Socrates ang isa sa mga programa ng pamahalaang panlalawigan na nagbibigay ng scholarship sa mga mag-aaral ng medikasyon.

Aniya, kung pag-uusapan ang mga frontline services, patuloy ang pagbigay supporta ng PGP sa mga estudyanteng nais kumuha ng mga kursong medikal sa pamamagitan ng programang SPS Alay sa Kabataan. Sa pagtapos ng taong 2022, mayroon ng 152 na lisensiyadong medical professionals na nakapagtapos sa tulong ng programang ito.

“Ngayong taon din po ay nagsimula na ang pasukan sa PSU School of Medicine, na siyang kauna-unahang medical school sa buong MIMAROPA. Congratulations po kay President Ramon Docto at sa aking Palawan State University family! May commitment ang PGP na magpadala ng ating scholars sa PSU-SoM sa ilalim ng SPS Alay sa Kabataan Program,” saad ni Governor Socrates.

Ngayong budget year 2023 mahigit P50 million ang nakalaang tulong pinansyal para sa mga mag-aaral na kukuha ng kursong medikal sa ilalim ng programa.

Mayroon din karagdagan P47 milyong inilaan para sa mga mag-aaral sa iba pang mga kurso hindi lamang sa medikal. Kabilang din sa mga maaring mabigyan ng scholarships ang mga nais kumuha ng vocational courses sa ilalim ng TESDA.
