Unti-unti nang bumabangon ang ekonomiya ng turista sa pamamagitan ng Provincial Tourism Promotions and Development Office na patuloy na nagpapatupad ng mga programa at proyekto sa pagpapaunlad ng turismo, pagbibigay ng mga pagsasanay sa mga manggagawa ng industriya, at pag-alalay at payo tungkol sa product development at estratehiya.

Sa SOPA kahapon, Oktubre 3, ni Governor V. Dennis Socrates, sinabi nito na bumabangon na ang turismo ng Palawan. Mayroong kabuuang 45 international flights at 10,593 domestic flights na naitala sa kabuuan ng taong 2022. Mahigit 800,000 turista ang dumayo sa lalawigan nitong nagdaang taon.

Mula naman noong Enero hanggang Abril ng 2023, umabot sa halos 500,000 tourist arrivals ang naitala. Inilahad din nito ang iba pang mga usapin tulad ng pangkabuhayan.

Sa taong 2022, ayon sa PPDO, may kabuuang 6,782 na rehistradong mga negosyo at kumpanya sa lalawigan na nagbibigay ng trabaho sa higit 11,600 na mga Palawenyo.

Upang madagdagan pa ang bilang ng mga may trabaho, patuloy ang pagbibigay ng serbisyong tulong hanapbuhay sa pangunguna ng Provincial Public Employment Services Office o PESO.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga recruitment activities, counselling at job fair, mahigit 900 na Palawenyo ang nailapit sa mga pribadong ahensiya at kumpanya,
Samantala, mahigit 1,481 na mag-aaral ang nabigyan ng counselling. Dahil sa mga pagsisikap na ito, pinarangalan ang Provincial PESO bilang “REGIONAL BEST PESO” sa kauna-unahang DOLE-PESO Regional Year-end Performance Assessment nitong nakaraang buwan ng Marso 2023.

Maliban dito, ang Community-Based Gender and Development o CBGAD Livelihood Enhancement Program sa ilalim ng Provincial Gender and Development Office ay nagbibigay tulong kapital sa mga organisado at rehistradong People’s Organizations bilang suportang pangkabuhayan.
