The Municipality of Coron installed modular floating docks in the town’s harbour area to provide convenience to both local and domestic tourists, specifically divers and other tourism industry players, etc.
Municipal Mayor Marjo Reyes of Coron said that the project funds was sourced from the proceeds of the environmental fee collected from the tourists who visited Coron.
He explained that since environmental fee came from tourists, the funds should support to enhance their town’s tourism.
Dennis Decter A. Sontillano,” the mayor said.
The project has been considered important especially for tourists and divers going to different dive sites in Coron.
