Plebiscite period, magsisimula na sa Feb 11; Mga checkpoint kaugnay ng gun ban, kasado na!

Handa na ang Philippine National Police sa Palawan at maging ang kanilang magiging mga katuwang sa pagpapanatili ng kaayusan sa buong panahon ng plebisito kaugnay ng paghahating ng Palawan sa tatlong probinsya.

“We already crafted yung security plan for the plebiscite. And the security plan covers the activities of the different security forces such as the PNP, the Armed Forces, the Philippine Coast Guard, and other law enforcement agencies within the Palawan Province.”

“Naka-lay down na lahat doon. Nakalagay yung deployment ng mga police officers and other law enforcement units. Andoon na rin yung security ng mga teachers from seaport to the Municipal Treasurer’s Office [and] back to different precincts.” Pahayag ni Police Colonel Frederick Obar.

Inamin din nito sa Palawan Daily News na sa Pebrero 10 ay ide-deploy na ang kanilang mga tauhan sa iba’t ibang lugar para ipatupad ang mga ipinagbabawal sa buong panahon ng plebisito.

“Naka-lay down na lahat yun even the dates kung kalian kami mag-ii-start, may timeline na rin kami diyan. Actually, as early as February 10 mag-start na magtrabaho ang ating kapulisan [at] ang ating armed forces of the Philippines towards securing the process of the plebiscite.”

Magsisimula na rin sila sa susunod na linggo ng paglalagay ng check point at pagpapatupad ng gun ban, liquor ban at iba pang iaatas ng COMELEC para masigurong mapayapa ang botohan.

“Andiyan na yung ating gun ban. Mag-iimplement ng gun ban sa buong lalawigan ng Palawan. Wag kayo magtaka kung may makikita kayong mga COMELEC checkpoints in the different municipalities of the province. Tuloy-tuloy na yan hanggang sa matapos yung ating election.”

“Actually that’s the decision of the COMELEC kung ano man yung magiging decision nila diyan what we’re just going to do is just to provide the necessary security.”

Base sa calendar of activities ng COMELEC, magsisimula ang plebiscite period sa Pebrero 11 at tatagal hanggang sa Marso 20.
