The Municipality of Roxas is set to hold its first ever “Municipal Pangolin Day” this February. The activity is aligned with the Local Government Unit’s decision to declare the Palawan Pangolin (Manis culionensis) as flagship species of the municipality thru Municipal Ordinance No. 780, series of 2020.
A fun bike ride, “Padyak Para Kay Balintong” on February 20, 2021 will be one of the highlights of the celebration. The activity aims to create awareness for the protection and conservation of the Palawan Pangolin, locally known as “Balintong.” The bike ride will start from the People’s Park and will end at Plaza Sitio Itabiak in Brgy. Dumarao.
Registration deadline for fun bike ride is set on February 5, 2021.
