20 pesos na minimum na pamasahe, sinasamantala ng mga tricycle driver sa Puerto Princesa– Lusoc

Aminado si Efnie Lusoc, Federation President ng Puerto Princesa City Tricycle Operators and Driver’s Association (PPC-TODA), na may mga tricycle driver na hindi sumusunod sa inaprubahang City Ordinance 1052 na nagpapahintulot na gawing P20 pesos ang pamasahe subalit isang pasahero lamang ang puwedeng isakay upang maipatupad ang health and safety protocols.

“Oo maraming mga reklamo sa atin kasi sinisingil nila ng P20. Eh magsakay sila ng 3 ‘di P60 yun so nagkakaroon ng overcharge sa ordinance natin P20 [pesos] nga pero 1 lang [ang pasahero] hindi tatlo,’’ ani Lusoc.

Naniniwala naman siya na sa pamamagitan ng isinusulong na ordinansa na pagbalik sa dating pamasahe at sakay na pasahero ay may magiging patas ito sa mga commuters.

“Medyo positibo sila doon sa pagbabalik sa normal kasi sa P20 nga naman eh isa lang [ang] pasahero mo. Alam naman natin mahirap ang pera so kahit marami ang sakay mo mababawi mo naman dahil makakadagdag ka ng pasahero atsaka ang pasahero talagang mapipilitang sumakay kasi 10 Pesos lang [ang] pamasahe. Di na sila masyadong masasaktan,” pahayag ni Lusoc.

Manggagaling rin aniya sa mga tricycle driver at operator ang disenyo sa ilalagay na harang bago ito ipapakita upang malaman kung pasado batay sa pamantayan ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

“Sa inisyal naming pag-uusap, kasi unang public hearing gusto ni Kagawad Maristela kausapin natin yung mga KaTODA natin. Then mag-present kami ng design kung paano makapaglagay ng barriers kasi ang sabi ng DILG kailangang sumunod tayo sa natioanl na patakaran sa paglalagay ng barriers,” dagdag pa nito.

Samantala, sa susunod na linggo ay muling pag-uusapan kung anong klaseng barrier ang posibleng ilagay sa mga pampasaherong tricycle.

“May naka schedule na public hearing po ulit sa Thursday, January 20, [at] doon namin i-present kung ano man ang napagkasunduan na mga design na ibibigay ng mga TODA o kung sino man ang may magandang ideya.”
