[BREAKING] Byaheng pamhimpapawid, pwede na kung papayagan ng local government

Naglabas ng panibagong advisory ang Civil Aeronautics Board kaugnay sa pagbabalik ng airline operations sa buong bansa mula ngayong araw, June 2.

Sa advisory na pirmado ni CAB Executive Director Carmelo Acilla may petsang June 2, nakasaad na alinsunod sa Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) at National Task Force on COVID-19 (NTF COVID-19) resolutions, pinapayagan na ang “interzonal movement by air” sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng general community quarantine maliban na lamang para sa leisure travel.

Dahil dito, maaari nang magbalik ang domestic commercial operations sa mga paliparan sa bansa na nasa ilalim ng GCQ at MGCQ.

Gayunpaman, nakasaad din sa nasabing advisory ng CAB na ang pagbubukas ng mga paliparan para sa domestic commercial operations ay naka-depende parin kung suportado ito ng mga lokal na pamahalaan.

Matatandaan na dito sa Puerto Princesa ay una nang sinasabi ng mga opisyal na hindi pa kakayanin ng lungsod sa ngayon ang pagbubukas ng paliparan para sa commercial flights.

Sa sesyon nga ng Sangguniang Panlungsod kahapon, June 1, nagpasa ng resolusyon ang konseho na humihiling sa Department of Transportation na ikonsidera ang pansamantalang pag-suspendi sa commercial flights papasok ng lungsod hanggang sa katapusan ng buwang kasalukuyan.

Paliwanag ng City Council, layunin nitong magkaroon pa ng sapat ng panahon ang city government na makapaghanda sa muling pagbabalik ng commercial flight operations sa Puerto Princesa.
