City Comelec, 50 katao lamang ang papayagang makapagtransaksyon kada araw

Simula unang araw ng Oktubre ay ililimita muna sa 50 katao ang maaaring makapagtransaksyon sa tanggapan ng City Comelec bunsod ng pagtaas ng kaso ng local transmission sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa.

Ayon kay City Acting Election Officer Ferdinand Bermejo, ito ang inirekomenda sa kanilang tanggapan ng City Health Department (CHD) upang maiwasan ang mas marami pang mahawa sa coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

“We started today…for the meantime na tumaas ang [local] transmission [sa lungsod],” ani Bermejo.

Sa liham na ipinadala ni City Health Officer Ric Panganiban kay Bermejo ngayong araw at natanggap din ng Comelec-Puerto Princesa pasado 2 p.m. ngayon ding araw, inirerekomenda ng opisyal ang agarang pagpapatupad ng nasabing hakbang.

“Due to the emerging new cases and the presence of local transmission of COVID-19 in the city, the undersigned respectfully recommends to your agency to limit the number of clients to 50 individuals/applicants per day to reduce the risk of transmission of the said infectious disease,” ang bahagi ng liham ni Dr. Panganiban.

Ayon pa kay Bermejo, mas nauna na rin nilang ipinatupad ang mas pinaikling oras na mula sa nakasanayang 8 a.m. hanggang 5 p.m. kada araw sa 8 a.m. hanggang 3 p.m. na lamang simula noong unang araw ng buwan ng Setyembre.

Sa hiwalay namang panayam sa tagapagsalita ng Commission on Elections-Palawan na si Jomel Ordas, sinabi niyang ang paglimita sa 50 applicants lamang sa mga munisipyo at 100 naman sa siyudad ay unang plano ng Comelec ngunit nang lumabas ang opisyal na resolusyon ng Kagawaran ay hindi na ito ang ipinatupad bagkus ay pinaiksi na lamang ang registration hours kada araw na mula sa dating 8 a.m. hanggang 5 p.m. ay ginawa itong 8 a.m. hanggang 3 p.m. na lamang.
