P3.78-B proposed 2020 Annual Budget ng Puerto Princesa City, naisumite na sa City Council

Naipasa na sa Sangguniang Panlunsod ng City Budget Office ang panukalang pondo ng City Government para sa taong 2020.

Ayon kay City Budget Officer Regina Cantillo, ito ay nasa P3.78 bilyon na mas mataas ng 15% sa 2019 Annual budget.

Kabilang umano sa mga malalaking pinondohan ay ang allowance para sa Senior Citizens, Persons with Disability at sa mga Barangay tanod.

“Yung sa Senior Citizens kasi nag-increase sila ng kanilang allowance monthly, from 1000 to P1500 per quarter, PWD (persons with disability) from P600 to P1000 per quarter, ‘yung Tanod from P400 per month to 500 per month, yun ang medyo malaki,” sabi pa ni Cantillo.

Kinumpirma niya rin na naglaan ang kanilang tanggapan ng nasa P640 milyon para sa infrastructure project subalit hindi pa nila inilagay kung anu-anong mga proyekto ito dahil sa ginagawa pa ang mga program of works ng mga ito.

“Hindi pa namin nilagay, lump sum palang siya kasi hindi pa tapos yung program of work. So habang nasa deliberation sa Sanggunian pag natapos ang program of work tsaka namin ibibigay sa kanila ang list kasi bawal ang lump sum diba. Bawal naman maglagay sa budget ng lump sum lang ng walang specific project,” dagdag pa niya.

Ikinunsidera na rin umano nila sa panukalang budget ang salary increase para sa mga empleyado ng City government.

Sa ngayon ay nakatakdang busisiin pa sa gaganaping budget hearing ng Committee on Appropriation ng City Council ang panukalang pondo.

Pero umaasa si Cantillo na sa Nobyembre 30, 2019 ay matatapos ng Sangguniang Panlunsod ang Appropriation Ordinance para makapagsumite rin sila ng maaga sa Department of Budget and Management o DBM.

Kapag nangyari ito ay maaari na araw silang maka-pag early procurement para sa January 2020 ay i-a-award na lamang ang mga proyekto.
