Noong ika-19 ng Pebrero ay nagdaos ang ating Kooperatiba ng unang bahagi ng PANTAWID LIWANAG PROGRAM 2 (PLP 2) para sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa kung saan mayroong 28 na piling mga kamay-ari ang nabigyan ng tulong pinansyal sa pamamagitan ng ASSISTANCE TO INDIGENTS IN CRISIS SITUATION (AICS) ng DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD).
Sa proyektong ito, nakakatanggap ng P3,000.00 cash mula sa DSWD ang bawat napili at naaprubahang beneficiary na kung saan ang kalahati nito o P1,500.00 ay napupunta sa kanilang buwanang bayarin sa kuryente (electric bills). Samantala, ang natirang P1,500.00 naman ay kanilang maiuuwi at magagamit sa kanilang pansariling mga pangangailangan. Ito ay naisagawa sa pangunguna ng Association of Philippine Electric Cooperatives (APEC) at Rural Electric Consumers and Beneficiaries of Development and Advancement (RECOBODA) partylists na silang naghanap ng pondo para sa nasabing programa. Nabigyan ng pondo ang ating Kooperatiba sa pamamagitan ng DSWD-AICS na kakasya para sa 100 beneficiaries. Sa kasalukuyan ay 51 na kamay-ari na ang natutulungan ng Kooperatiba. Kabilang dito ang 23 na mga kamay-ari mula sa bayan ng Aborlan na kung saan naunang idinaos ang proyekto noong ika-22 ng Disyembre nakaraang taon. At ang 28 nga na kamay-ari mula sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa na tumanggap naman noong ika-19 ng Pebrero. Samantala, patuloy naman ang ugnayan ng ating Kooperatiba at ng tanggapan ng DSWD sa probinsiya para sa mga susunod na schedule ng programa sa iba pang mga munisipyo. (PR)
