Three alleged supporters of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) in the Municipality of Brooke’s Point surrendered to authorities earlier this week.

In a post of Aim High, the Facebook page of MBLT-4 on May 21, it says that the concerted effort of the Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF ELCAC) Brooke’s Point paved the way to the surrender of four personalities who have pending warrant of arrest for illegal logging of which, the three of them are alleged sympathizers of the CTG operating in southern Palawan.

Accordingly, the surrendered persons were immediately assisted by the Localized Peace Engagement Cluster of the MTF-ELCAC Brooke’s Point in their legal impediments as they voluntary surrendered last May 19.

“The intensified commitment of LGU to end the local armed-conflict made them decide to abandon their armed struggle and enjoy a peaceful life with their family,” the post says.

Through a chat message, 3rd Marine Brigade Spokesperson, Capt. Orchie Bobis conveyed the statement of Brigade commander, BGen. Nelson Herico, stating that he is happy with the recent update.

Herico stated thru a message from Bobis.

The government also appeals to other members of the Communists Terrorist Group (CTGs) New People’s Army (NPA) to begin a new life and assures that the government will help them.

The 3rd Marine Brigade likewise asks cooperation from everyone to report to the authorities or the nearest PNP stations if they know information about the CTG’s location and identity.
