Kapatiran ng mga dating Rebelde sa Palawan (KADRE-Palawan), receives fifty thousand pesos from Palawan Task Force ELCAC thru the office of the Provincial Peace and Order Program of the Provincial Government of Palawan. According to Atty. Teodoro Jose S. Matta, POP Program director, the amount given is for the purpose of the organization to be registered on the security and Exchange Commission or SEC.
“It was I think the first KADRE in the Philippines who will be registered, we considered them the tip of the sphere, we must support the organization for the benefits of its members,” Matta said.
Jerwin Castigador, President of KADRE Palawan also confirmed that they already legalized the organization last week with the help of the Provincial Government.
“I have already received the amount of 50K to be used for the registration of KADRE Palawan. The cost of registration is 20K and the remaining amount is under my safekeeping. The remaining amount will be used on the preparation of feasibility plan for the housing project of KADRE and other expenses that may arise on the processing of papers for the proposed housing project” Castigador said.
The organization was established last January 18, 2021, present KADRE Palawan has 55 active members from the New People’s Army (NPA) under Bienvenido Villaver Command (BVC) and Militia ng Bayan before they decided to surrender.
