These health services are part of the IHELP Program of the Provincial Government aligned with the fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Cyrus Cecilio Caabay, Medical Technologist II and Unit Head of ESPHL under PHO, said it is the only public health laboratory in Palawan that acquired a license from the Department of Health (DOH) as a secondary level laboratory to perform different laboratory tests after they passed all the requirements of DOH to have it proclaimed as a laboratory testing facility.

It is expected to be more dependable because of its COVID-19 Molecular Laboratory.

ESPHL is a secondary-level clinical laboratory in Palawan that is managed by the Provincial Government in partnership with the municipalities.

As of this day, all of the documents needed to acquire the License to Operate from DOH is on 95% completion as it applies to be a testing facility for COVID infections.
