Sabang, Puerto Princesa, Palawan – March 22, 2026 – Over the course of a remarkable long weekend, Four Points by Sheraton Palawan witnessed the hatching and release of four Olive Ridley sea turtle nests, sending nearly 428 hatchlings from shore to sea and marking a major milestone in the property’s growing #SeaTurtleSaga.

From Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22, the beachfront at Four Points Palawan became the site of four separate hatchings, as dozens upon dozens of hatchlings emerged from nests laid earlier this year between January 24 and January 26. Carefully protected by the hotel team for nearly two months, the nests were monitored, secured, and prepared for release as the hatchlings made their instinctive journey to the ocean.

For a destination property set along the ecologically rich coastline of Sabang Beach, Palawan, the moment was more than seasonal—it was a powerful reminder of the role hospitality can play in protecting the environments that make travel meaningful in the first place.

At the heart of this effort is Four Points by Sheraton Palawan’s long-standing commitment to conservation, sustainability, and responsible beachfront stewardship. From the moment the eggs were discovered, the property team moved swiftly to protect them from tidal changes, predators, and other environmental risks. Each nest was carefully relocated to secure hatchery spaces and enclosed using bamboo structures and fencing made from upcycled materials—reflecting a low-impact, nature-first approach to wildlife protection.

The result was an extraordinary three days on the shoreline, where guests, associates, and onlookers were able to witness one of nature’s most moving rituals: tiny hatchlings breaking through the sand and making their way

toward the sea.

The hatchings underscore a broader story unfolding at the property. What began as a series of nesting events in January has grown into an ongoing conservation narrative under the #SeaTurtleSaga—a campaign and environmental initiative that documents the return of Olive Ridley sea turtles to the hotel’s shores while raising awareness around marine life protection in Palawan.

As of this release, the property has recorded multiple active nests across its beachfront, turning Four Points Palawan into a rare intersection of hospitality and habitat protection. The hotel’s efforts demonstrate that sustainability is not simply a supporting message, but an operating principle embedded in how the property cares for its surroundings.

In a destination globally known for its natural beauty and biodiversity, Four Points by Sheraton Palawan continues to show that luxury and conservation are not at odds. Instead, they can work hand in hand—creating experiences that are not only memorable for guests, but meaningful for the ecosystems that make those experiences possible.

With hatchling season ongoing, the team remains on alert for more releases in the weeks ahead, hopeful for new chapters in what has become one of the property’s most compelling environmental stories to date.
