Armedilla is a member of the chamber since 2014. From being a regular member he was elected as Auditor and Member of the Board of Directors in the past that make him to get a nod of the members and officers to be the new executive chief in a term to start January 1, 2020.

Armedilla is a business owner of an advertisement and trading business in the City that include Megaprint, Megaconstruct, Wanderfoods catering and Wanderpool Place Resort.

“I aspire to be President pero it came this early kasi I was eyeing sana sa mga elders pa, yung mga senior members, eventually I’m thankful sa trust na rin ng members ng Board na they choose me to lead the chapter, in this coming 2020,” Armedilla said in an exclusive interview with Palawan Daily News.

PCCI has a total of 51 members across the province. Armidella plans to strengthen its membership and reach top tourist destination areas outside the City to join for a more productive and prosperous business ambiance with all local government units as key partners.

The membership to the chamber requires an affiliation to any business in different industry, usually by invitation. They are required to attend regular meeting and settle annual dues of P3,000 per business. Officers and its board have 2 years term and can be re-elected by its members.

“Ang chamber kasi was created to promote yung business friendly atmosphere, thru with the cooperation of LGU’s, non-government organizations, and to facilitate yung growth ng business sa area, kasi when the business thrives, the economy will improve as well and the well-being ng community,” Armidella said.

Business Chamber in the past has a reputation of providing more business opportunities in their area with their connections they play a great part in attracting investors or partners that can give more livelihood and uplift the way of living, and with the new set of officers they aim to invite multinational companies and other chambers to see Palawan as a good place to start a business.

But his main concern is to improve the relationship of the employer and the employees that play a vital role in any business. Being an experienced employer who started his advertising business in 2005 in the City, Armedilla sees this need of concern as important in any industry.

“Yung concern ng employee-employer relationship tinitingnan din natin yun, kung paano i-improve, sabi nga happy worker means successful business, andyan din yung maki-cooperate tayo with the local government unit, in partnership yan kailangan magkaroon ng magandang relationship,” Armidella explain.

The 2020 PCCI set of officers includes Palawan Pawnshop CEO Bobby Castro as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President is Atty. David Meregillano, Vice President for External is Rix Rafols, VP Internal is Jan Cachola, Lani Rey is the Secretary, Mark Dy Tecklo is the new Treasurer, and Auditor is Wendell Salatandre.

Armidella is also active member and officers in many non-government organization in the City such as Jaycees Inc and UP Alumni Palawan Chapter. He has a degree on Public Administration from the University of the Philippines-Diliman in 1998.

“It’s more on to create positive impact dun sa community, to help them in a way that I can, thru projects like pagbibigay sa kanila ng livelihood, na basta mag improve yung mga less fortunate natin.” Armidella said about his personal advocacy.
